Mark + Jeannette

Mark and Jeannette’s wedding this past Saturday was set on the gorgeous golf course of the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, GA. The bride was stunning in a one shoulder, lace gown. The groom was calm and ready to see his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. The party was one to remember with lots of dancing and an endless buffet. Staying true to the golf theme, the couple were sent off in a golf cart at the end of the night.

Wedding Season and the most important Engagement of all!

Wedding season is here! This is always a great time of year, it is gorgeous outside and everyone is delighted to be celebrating a couple in love. This year wedding season is even more special for me as I am engaged! A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend (now fiancé!) took me on a wonderful trip to New York City and he proposed in Central Park. Of course I had my camera with me but believe it or not I took the photo above of us about half an hour before the actual proposal. The whole trip was very romantic and now I have officially gone into planning mode. I will be busy photographing weddings in May and June but this year I get to look at all the wonderful details that go into the event and decide what I may want for my own wedding. I have already been able to pick the brains of those in the business. I am lucky to have such resources and am that much more excited for all the weddings this season.
2011 My Year in Photos

This was a beautiful wedding I photographed in April of last year. Tucker Ranch in Athens, GA made for a perfect outdoor ceremony and the band was so fun everyone was dancing all night long.

This wedding was the most fun to photograph. It was mostly a Hindu ceremony but the overall wedding was a good mixture of East meets West and because of this there was so much to photograph.

At the same wedding we offered a photo booth with props. The guests got so creative with it! To see more Photo Booth photos, check out my Photo Booth, Highlights from Saturday Night blog post: http://lesliesgallery.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/photo-booth-highlights-from-saturday-night/

At 92 years old and after living in São Paulo, Brazil for over 60 years, it was time for Grandma to move back to the United States where the rest of the family lives. Mom and I went down there recently to help her with the move.

Art Partners of the High Museum of Art once a year presents High Arts Day, a unique fundraiser providing a full day of fashion, art, and design, with all proceeds benefiting the High. The day began with a continental breakfast and private shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue, Phipps Plaza. Via motor coach, the women attendees were taken to tour two spectacular Atlanta homes, known for their art collection, interior design and architecture. This was followed by a trunk show at the High Museum of Art, which featured Wes Gordon fashions, Tracy Dean jewelry, Anne Vincent scarves and wraps, Tamara Cimalore jewelry, Nina Gelardi with Juno Shoes, and Boxwoods Garden & Gifts botanicals and handbags. Original paintings, sculptures, gifts, and other art items were featured in a silent auction. A luncheon was held in the Margaretta Taylor Lobby of the Wieland Pavilion, with informal modeling of Wes Gordon’s spring 2012 collection presented by Saks Fifth Avenue. The luncheon was followed up by a private viewing of Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters, the current exhibit at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, GA.
